Zibby Owens is a quintessential book addict, avidly working her way through the book-o-sphere by reading voraciously, launching a podcast and a publishing company, opening a bookstore, editing anthologies of the work of her favorite authors, penning a memoir and, now, trying her hand at fiction.

Owens’ new novel, Blank, doesn’t stray from the book world since it’s the tale of Pippa, a young superstar writer, frozen by the prospect of being written off as a one-hit wonder yet struggling against an impossible deadline to fill the blank pages.

As she races across Los Angeles in her used Volvo, Pippa not only finds both plot and words but, as do so many other writers, discovers more about her career, her family, her friends and herself than she could ever have imagined.

She will be in conversation with bestselling novelist and memoirist Dani Shapiro.

Zibby is host of the award-winning podcast Moms Don’t Have Time to Read Books; founder and CEO of Zibby Media (including Zibby Books, Zibby Mag and Zibby’s Book Club); and owner of Zibby’s Bookshop in Santa Monica. Her previous books include a memoir, a children’s book and two edited anthologies.
