Women On The Move: Jennifer Rosner, "Once We Were Home"
This poignant novel, Once We Were Home, based on true stories about Jewish children saved by Christians challenges readers to consider identity, good intentions and unforeseen consequences. What happens when the war ends and children are wrenched from what they long considered their families? Or when the people who saved them refuse to let them go?
Jennifer Rosner, a National Book Award finalist for The Yellow Bird, is also author of a memoir about learning about sound and silence from her deaf children and of a modern Jewish folktale.
