Dan Senor is coauthor of the New York Timesbestseller Start-Up Nation: The Story of Israel’s Economic Miracle, which was translated into over 30 languages. On the eve of publication, Dan will preview his new book, The Genius of Israel. Dan has been a senior advisor to US presidential campaigns and served as a Pentagon official based in Baghdad and at US Central Command in Qatar. He has written for The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA TODAY and The Washington Post. He is the host of the popular Call Me Backpodcast. Today, Dan is a partner at an international investment management firm.
Senor will be in conversation with former US Ambassador to Israel Thomas R. Nides.Nides has extensive experience in finance and public policy. He most recently served as the US Ambassador to Israel, spending two years as the nation’s top diplomat there before leaving his post this past summer. Prior to his time in Israel, he spent nearly a decade at Morgan Stanley as Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director, and Vice Chairman. Appointed by President Barack Obama, Tom served as Deputy Secretary of State and Chief Operating Officer of the US State Department and was awarded the nation’s highest diplomatic honor by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for his service. He is now Vice Chairman at Wells Fargo.
