March 7, 2022 Covid-19 Update

We are all encouraged by the decline in Covid cases and the easing of restrictions within our city. However, we intend to remain cautious and, as Covid rules were eased by NYC leadership to reflect falling infection and hospitalization rates, the temple has, in conjunction with its medical advisor, updated its Covid protocols.

  • We will continue to require proof of vaccinations and boosters to enter the temple for those eligible, ages 5 and older.
  • While masks are now optional, we will be offering KN95 masks to those who wish to have them upon entry.
    • Children under the age of five, who are not eligible for the vaccine, and grown-ups accompanying them to programs will be required to wear masks for indoor temple programs (children under the age of two are not required to wear masks).
  • We will continue to limit occupancy per sanctuary for in-person services and events.
    • A mask-only section will be designated in the temple during worship.
  • We ask that you stay home if you are not feeling well or are exhibiting signs of Covid. Our livestream will continue to be available.
  • Food and refreshments may now be offered for indoor events.
    • We look forward to continuing our outdoor Friday evening oneg on Fifth Avenue.

As always, we look forward to greeting you in person. If you need anything or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our membership office:, 212-507-9514.
